Routers, Routers, Routers.

FlashRouters is a NJ-based company started by two young entrepreneurs looking for a way to help people optimize their Internet connections so that their computers, tablets, phones, and streaming media devices work how they wished they would when they purchased them. The one forgotten ingredient in setting up a powerful network is a great Wireless router as the centerpiece. Thats

DD-WRT is an open-source firmware that can be installed on many types of routers which provides technically advanced functionality without the bloated price tag of higher end networking and gateway devices.

FlashRouters offers the most popular DD-WRT compatible router models from brands like Cisco Linksys, Asus, Netgear, D-Link, & Airlink101. All of our routers have been "flashed" with DD-WRT firmware, turning them into "FlashRouters". "Flashing" is the term used for a router firmware upgrade. Router firmware cannot simply be installed like a regular program on your computer, rather it must be done in a manner that is specific to each different router device. This sensitive process, if done incorrectly, can "brick" a router, making it no more valuable than an actual brick without any functionality.

The main issue with adopting cutting-edge open-source technology is lack of available support and staying up to date with latest releases and upgrades. The bevy of features that DD-WRT offers is often the perfect solution for many users but can also frustrate and confuse new adopters. That is why FlashRouters continually monitors, tests, and upgrades their DD-WRT standards so that every customer receives a tested, verified DD-WRT router

Prior to every shipment, a FlashRouters support specialist contacts each customer with a personal setup e-mail so the router can be pre-configured to your network settings and preferred VPN provider before shipment. Along with this personalized setup, each router includes a custom setup guide for you to follow upon receiving your FlashRouter.
